SECURAWINDOW BURGLAR BARS ON ALUMINIUM WINDOWS

For aluminium windows and steel windows the bars are inserted into the window opening reveal (i.e plastered or brick wall surrounding the window) as the windows are not usually manufactured with a frame that can accommodate the steel Burglar Bar system.

An intermediate steel post is installed according to the following criteria:

• Where the window opening is wider than 1,2 M.

• For coverage of openers only.

• To maintain the strength of the system.

• Where the reveal is on one side only.

• A gap is created between the window and the system to allow free access to operate handles and window cleaning.

• Holes drilled into tiles are professionally carried out - drill bits designed for the purpose are utilized and the steel can be specially machined to prevent damage to tiles and decorative finishes.

• Remedial touch up surrounding the bars ensures a neat finish.

We offer the epoxy coated finish in a range of colours to match the finish of the windows.

The Horizontal Only application offers a convenient method of securing openers only.

It is particlularly suited to windows which are fitted with venetian blinds as the bars are therefore unobtrusive.

Any vertical posts neccesary in the strengthening of the application would be positioned behind the mullion (framework) of the window.
